This is my blog through which I will be sharing with you my favorite vegan recipes. Eating healthy vegan food is the only choice for me. I went vegetarian in 2006 and vegan few months later. It was a decision I took when Peanut got really sick and had to do 6 surgeries in one year period. I was so depressed during that time and it got me thinking. Why do I love one animal and eat another? So that was it! I don’t eat, wear or use any animal product. I am vegan and I can’t think of any reason that I shouldn’t be!
This isn’t a fat free cooking blog. I believe that vegan food is great for our health. Animal foods are higher in fat than plant foods. No need to mention that they are packed with saturated fats and cholesterol. Meat and dairy is also responsible for cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis and many many more diseases. So, what else? I love almonds and coconuts. And avocados! Some of you might say these are high in fat, so maybe not that healthy! Yet it is healthy unrefined fat that our bodies need in order to get the essential fatty acids.
Besides cooking vegan food, I love books, movies and rock music. And traveling. Meowww
