This recipe was quite fun to put together and I really loved both the burger and the cheezy sauce. We got a nice big barbeque grill recently and as everyone is asking me why does a vegan need a grill, I have to say that this is a recipe of why a vegan really does need a barbeque grill. Cause some times is just way to fun to throw veggies, vegan dogs, veggie burgers, tofu, mushrooms and more on the grill and have dinner in just few minutes.

2 cups cooked white beans, drained and mashed
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 TS ground flax seeds, mixed with 2 TS water
2 TS nutritional yeast
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
2 cloves of garlic minced
1/2 red onion, thinly chopped
1 TS olive oil

Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl. Shape into patties and grill them for 5 minutes on each side. Place the burger on hot pita bread, add some vegan cheese – I used a mixture of viofast cheese, with cashews cream cheeze and cheddar sauce from the ultimate uncheese cookbook which I microwaved for 1 minute before adding it to my burger – and top with rucola. You can also add onion, sliced tomato or other favorite burger toppings. Serve with french fries and salad on the side. Enjoy!
